We hope that you and your family have been staying healthy during this difficult time. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. The Illinois Department of Public Health has given permission for dental offices to reopen. We appreciate your understanding during the time we were mandated to be closed. Infection control has always been and will be a top priority for our practice. Our office follows Universal Precautions, but when it comes time for your next appointment, you will notice additional safety measures in response to COVID-19. *All Plum Grove patients, guardians, and caretakers must wear a face covering that covers both the mouth and nose at all times while inside our dental office. The only time the covering will be removed is while you are receiving treatment. No other guests other than the patient will be admitted. A minor will be allowed to have one guardian accompany them. *If a patient requires assistance from a caregiver, one caregiver will be permitted to accompany them. We will be utilizing the back door entrance of our building (right by the parking lot) to best control the amount of people in the building. If the chairlift will be required, the front door will be made available. The chair lift will be thoroughly disinfected before and after each use. *All commonly touched surfaces (stair railings, door handles, bathroom light switches, etc.) will be disinfected repeatedly throughout the day. *We have added several 5-stage air disinfection units throughout the building to purify and decontaminate the air. *If you do not feel well, have a cough, shortness of breath or a fever, you need to stay home and cancel your appointment. Here’s what you can expect upon making your dental appointment: *Our office will communicate with you one day prior to your appointment to answer Screening Questions and provide instructions. *Your temperature will be taken with a touchless infrared thermometer. *You will be asked to wash your hands in the operatory, and you will also be given a hydrogen peroxide based mouthwash as a pre-rinse. *Upon completion of your appointment, you will be accompanied to the front desk. Social distancing will be done at the desk. You may be asked to wait until a receptionist is available to help you. Sneeze guards have been installed for your protection and hand sanitizer will be available. We thank you for joining us in following our updated procedures and protocols. They are designed to keep all of our patients and staff safe. To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 847-359-4700. We will also begin calling to reschedule any appointments that were postponed during our closure in March, April, or May. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! |
