Dr. Michelle Luke joined Plum Grove Dental Associates in 2001. She is one of the practice's four partners. Taking care of teeth is nothing new for Dr. Luke. She has been in the dental field for over 22 years. She began working as a dental assistant while she was in high school and college.

Dr. Luke graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental College in 2000. She furthered her education by completing a one year General Practice Residency Program at the University of Texas-Houston. During the course of this intensive training program, she cared for dental patients with extensive medical conditions. Also, she was exposed to dental emergencies in both the hospital emergency room and the operating room. She believes the knowledge and experience gained during this program provided her with an invaluable dental education.

Attending continuing education courses to learn the most recent advances in the dental field is extremely important. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. With over 700 hours of continuing education, she is dedicated to providing the best dental care she can for her patients.

In August of 2006, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) awarded Dr. Luke with its Fellowship Award. This is one of the most rigorous continuing dental education awards offered today. The Fellowship Award is granted to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. In order to receive this honor, Dr. Luke completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written examination, and fulfilled three years continuing membership with the AGD. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Luke has joined an elite group of 15,000 dentists worldwide.

Providing quality dental care within an established group practice is very important. Dr. Luke focuses on getting to know her patients and understanding their dental concerns. All treatment is customized for each patient and discussed in great detail to ensure comfort.

In her free time, Dr. Luke and her husband love the outdoors. You might find them camping, hiking, fishing, cheering on their favorite Chicago sports teams, or taking their dog, Jessie, on a long walk. Traveling, photography, and decorating are also of great interest to her. Dr. Luke is a 12 year resident of Palatine and is involved with the community.
